Botanical Couture
A living still life — made to awaken a feeling of belonging to the garden.
Each shawl, collar, and drape is made for one person, in colors chosen for them. Carol meets the wearer by video call or photograph, then builds the piece on a mannequin.
The work is mostly fresh flowers, sometimes with foraged seed pods, dried botanicals, and antique ribbon. It carries the quiet richness of a Dutch still life, and the feeling of being one with nature.
Shawls, collars, and body draping.
Bridal shawls for the day itself. Pieces made for an event. Portrait sessions, when the garment and the photograph are planned together.
